Dotted Lines 01:52
You were so eager to go and be left alone That the risk you would take, You would swim passed the break And sink like a stone With the promises made Breaking under the waves Over and over again When they washed back to shore We forgot who they’re for The Siren is singing alone “Woah-oh-oh-oh” We’ve crossed those lines a thousand times We’re waiting our whole lives Just to say what’s on our minds

Borders 03:30
Rise and shine, Little Hen You’ve gotta make it to morning And wake me up with a smile You and I, where ya been? We bought a farm for a brownstone We’re growing ourselves in I’m shamed that I passed the time Blurring lines to hide behind No stopping you from crashing through You gave me strength in something new Lay down a little while I promise time isn’t wasted The way that you think it’s been Then again, from a point of abstraction I’m the one guilty of the distraction Caught a hostile stare from the yellow chair So I’ll stay back in my place I’m shamed that I passed the time Blurring lines to hide behind No stopping you from crashing through You gave me strength in something new It’s hard to tell from so far away Like at different ends of a long hallway Our reach is good inside this space It’s understood, the time we take Or make to shake and break those borders down I never meant to cross that line I never meant to fall

In a Choose Your Own Adventure I chose to be by your side Keep turning page after page Just to get the ending right You say to me, “I know you know, and no we’re not giving it up” So just show you’re not giving it up Got time to grow before giving it up Don’t let me go without you I’m love with the science I’m in love with the the way her eyes séance my mind I put up with the fiction Cause the truth can’t match the depiction I can’t find So hide the strings and get the shot Under perfectly timed light Got my sunnies so she won’t Erase it from my mind Just lie to me I know you know and no, your not giving it up So just show your not giving it up Got time to grow before giving it up Don’t let me go without you I’m in love with the science I’m in love with the way that her eyes séance my mind I put up with the fiction Cause her lips won’t say a description and that’s Fine if you do, fine when you won’t I’ll fight for your world, your hand, your life Till the nighttime is through From the black to the blue The stars will align and they’ll shine for you Whatever the place, whatever the time You have my word, my heart, my sight You have my world You have my heart Till this lifetime is through You have my words and they’ll shine for you

The city is sleeping We’re keeping awake with the skyline The same old places, silly face Colorado taste in the nightlife And nobody know why It’s just a shame it had to get so late You had me begging for another day To settle up my friend, Cause the nights they seem long Till the daylights breaking in Could you settle down instead? You say, “Tramps like us are born to be missed So why then save our best for the bitter end?” There’s lights and sound in the lounge You’re lost and found, and I’m faded Let’s get this show on the road Everybody love the driver, say so Everybody say “Yeah!” It’s such a shame it had to get so late We pray to Zeus to pour us one more drink And we’ll settle up then Cause the nights they seem long Till the daylights breaking in Could you settle down instead? You say, “Tramps like us are born to be missed So why then save our best for the bitter end?” Who can I call to get away from it all? I might lose sight, but I will still remember the fall And the nights spent singing “Up against the wall” and “The Suffering” From the roof outside your window We’re all suffering to see the leap below Oh no, then you had to go Where I couldn’t follow But I’ll see you at the bitter end

Not long ago I didn’t know A voice had called me to show To stand, to say something To seek it out, test your doubt Turn that voice to a shout That won’t go away Hear them say We want the truth To take a walk in your shoes But your soles they hold the load of concrete boots It’s time we detach To see and study the track And learn to lend a hand in pushing back Days away I tolerated And hid from my own sight A never ending fight Incite the same ol’ same Its a game some can play Others stuck in a cage Are suffocating So let’s take it back With worth they promised you had Your right, our word, our voices drown them out What would you do With missile’s coming for you? The crime that costs a life is being beautiful Deflection is an attack The reflection is looking back at us

The flame is dying out For comfort or mistaken identifiers We light up the fire pretending it still doesn’t hurt When the forest starts to burn The jessamine and lavender’s intoxicating You’ve been taken Everything we lost today, we gave it all away The time we spent, the lives we hoped to make What’s the best defense when ourselves are in the way? I wish I could say these things without the added weight I wish I could stay Before we scream and shout Who’s beaten, what’s forsaken Let’s classify the span of lies in the fantasy that occurred We’ll never know for sure The secret’s safe with Lavender Self-deprecating, I’m not taken Everything we lost today, we gave it all away The time we spent, the lives we hoped to make What’s the best defense when ourselves are in the way? I wish I could say these things without the added weight I wish I could stay She’s got another one Someone to say, “Goodnight, Good Morning” Here comes another one Someone to say, “Goodnight, Good Morning, Love” I know you’ve got much more to say But it won’t matter anyway

Bird Song 03:55
Open your eyes There’s a serenade outside your window The cardinal’s arrived To sing her song from the moment you rise Push you from behind Bird song lift me To the sky outside Open it wide I’m happy to go wherever you fly Turning back time There’s a parakeet perched on your shoulder Losing our minds Learning more of ourselves on the high Being kind, rewind Bird song lift me To the sky outside Open it wide I’m happy to go wherever you fly Laid on her side There’s a garden mapped out on her body Tracing the line A hummingbird at the top of a vine Taking in the sweet Bird song lift me To the sky outside Open it wide I’m happy to go wherever you fly We’re none of these birds Not the red, not the green, not the humming Alone on a perch by a window The world passes by

Help If all we have are memories I’ve got another thing coming So catch the ones I won’t believe Release the things that remind me you’re gone Before I catch the disease Help A plague upon your family Has got me searching for something Beneath the floorboards where she keeps A photo under lock and key of me Embraced in her company Help There’s so much more to know You’ve got to marry me Bury me in all your love And pick me up just to carry me again When I can’t comprehend Or name the faces I’ve met I tried all I could try To say goodbye just one last time (A couple dozen times) I’m fading out of sight once the fireflies at night Shift your eyes outside Help A cardinal in captivity It can’t survive for nothing Aside from times the picture shines And flashbacks flare behind her eyes Am I igniting something inside? You’ve got me begging for help The kind without an answer or a cause for alarm I’ve let this show and watched you go A couple dozen times So if I lose my mind before I run out of time I tried all I could try To say goodbye just one more time (A couple dozen times) She’s faded out of sight now the fireflies at night Guided her outside
